My first patchwork mani!!

This is an old mani but I wanted to share it with you all.
I have seen so many patchwork manis that I love and I was dying to try it! I picked out 3 colors that I wanted to use. I picked three colors that are similar because I wanted to create a gradient type of patchwork. The three colors that I used are e.l.f. Desert Haze which is the lightest color, then e.l.f. Mod Mauve which is the middle color and then Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Gray Area for the tips. To create a patchwork mani I first painted on the lightest color on the whole nail. Then once that dried I used my tape and taped off the part of my nail near my cuticle diagonally. I then painted on the next color, removed the tape and repeated for the next color... have I confused you yet? When it was all dry I added lines of glitter with an Art Deco glitter polish. This mani turned out to be pretty thick because parts of it had 3 layers of polish. Next time I do a patchwork I will use thin layers of polish to keep it from getting so thick.

Here are the pictures:

Feel free to ask any questions about this mani or any other mani, I will be happy to answer your questions.
Thanks for visiting!

  1. That looks awesome! One of the best patchworks I've seen.
